Life has been busy. Got the housework done this morning, and fixed lunch. After we ate, George and I went to the Saigon-Taipei Market and met Amy and looked at all the different stuff. It's a grocery store, and they really have lots of neat fresh herbs, fruits, and leafy vegetables. We got some Manila Mangoes, and some mangosteens, bean sprouts, Pho broth, noodles, and more.
We had company come in last weekend. Doyce and Shirley came to visit. They left the puppies home with a dog sitter, so they came up on Sunday, and Amy, Scott, Ashley, and Mango came over, and we had steak and buffet potatoes, and a green bean casserole. Then all eight of us played Crimpit. Had to use two decks of cards, and that made it more fun. Scott was the big winner. George and Doyce played golf with the seniors on Monday, and Shirley and I visited. Then on Tuesday, they went up to the country and had lunch with their aunts and other family. Came back and we played Mexican train, and then they went to the motel since they had to go back on Wednesday. I cleaned house on Thursday, then Friday was hair day for Mom. Ashley had to use the printer on my computer, so she came over and printed while we went to the beauty shop, then we came back and got her and went to Kinko's and Ace Hardware and Ulta and then went to a new Mexican restaurant for lunch. Aparicio's in Plano. It was a really pretty place, and the salsa was good, but the rest was just average. Everyone came for dinner yesterday since George decided to cook a brisket and a pork butt on the grill (and finished in the oven). They were both really good. Very tender, and not too smoky. Then we played Crimpit again, and Amy won both games. She was glad to get parking money.
She has finished her hall bathroom remodel, and boy is it amazing! She did the texturing herself, and it is really professional looking. Kind of a Monterey texture, because the bathroom is Southwest. Now she can do mine. lol They painted it all a warm tan, and have neat Southwest hardware.
Now we are starting another busy week. George has golf on Monday, Mom has her hair done on Tuesday, Wednesday is meeting Liz and Vickie for lunch, Thursday is another golf day, and I get my massage that evening, then Friday Mom gets her hair done again. No rest for the weary. And gas is too high for all this running around.
